  So, has anyone actually sat down and made a detailed home inventory? I keep hearing it’s important for insurance, but honestly, every time I try to start, I just get overwhelmed. I took photos of a few rooms, but I don’t even know what insurance really wants to see. Does anyone have an easy way to keep track, or is everyone just winging it? Would love some advice or maybe some tips on making the process less painful. I don’t want to mess it up if I ever need it.

  This is making me realize how unprepared I am. I always think, “I’ll do it next weekend,” and then totally forget. I should probably just pick a day and get it done. Hearing these stories is a good push in the right direction.
