The Country Club of Poços de Caldas is unquestionably part of the traditions of our city as well as the casinos on the time of game dates from 1932 , when docked tourists here from all over the country and world. It was a small field of six holes , but with a stylish layout and made the joy of many generations of golfers which is one of the most illustrious former Brazilian President Getúlio Vargas .
Over the years the activities of golf at the Country Club had its ups and downs , with some critical phases in which substantial parts of the field were dismembered and intended for other purposes , including a soccer field , which required a complete refurbishment its layout .
In the late 60s , with the coming of ALCOA Aluminum Plant , the local golf experienced a big boost and reached its peak in the 70's . The decision of the City Hall of Poços de Caldas , who in 1983 decided to transform the golf course to the Country Club municipal park , brought two major benefits to the city , primarily preserving for posterity the magnificent greenery of the golf course, privileging whole community and second, giving opportunity for golfers of Poços de Caldas to build the field " Pedro Parisi ," of exceptional quality , according to international standards and keeping the tradition of Golf in our city.
In 2014 Pocos de Caldas Golf Club moved to a new course in Pocos de Caldas in partnership with the Serras Altas Golf Estate renewing challenges to its members and visitors.
